Former Roma defender Cristian Chivu discussed his transfer from Ajax to Roma in 2003 and the subsequent four years with the Giallorossi.

In an interview with Sportitalia, Chivu remarked that his only regret is not having won the Scudetto with Roma.

“There are so many memories I have from my time at Roma. I set myself the goal of winning in all the teams I played in.”

“With Roma we won a Coppa Italia against Inter, in previous years we had lost 2-3 always against them and I would have liked to win the Scudetto with Roma to give something special to those wonderful fans.”

“Unfortunately we were unable to do that and ended up second three times in four years.”

“I missed winning the Scudetto there which would have completed my resume,” said the retired defender.
