Former Roma manager Rudi Garcia has found a new home in Serie A.

The French coach has been officially appointed as Napoli’s new manager following Luciano Spalletti’s exit.

Garcia was able to overcome competition from Salernitana manager Paulo Sousa, who many believed was the favorites for the position. As a result, he’ll make his return to Serie A for the first time since his exit from the Italian capital in January 2016.

Since his departure from Roma, Garcia returned to Ligue 1 where he spent two years at Lyon. After leaving in 2021, he spent a brief time at Saudi club Al Nassr.
