However, as reported by Sky Sport, Inter are ahead of the Giallorossi as they met with Sassuolo earlier today in the seaside town of Rimini.
The two clubs discussed a potential deal for Frattesi who is also a target for Roma.
However, at this time the capital club are focusing their efforts on securing a suitable replacement of injured Tammy Abraham.
Once negotiations for the desired striker come to an end, Roma will turn their attention to Frattesi.
