After Ibañez, Roma ready to hand Rick Karsdorp new deal

RomaPress Staff

Roma General Director Tiago Pinto continue to work on signing the club’s key pieces to new, long-term deals.

After locking up defender Roger Ibañez to a new deal yesterday, Roma’s attention has turned to Rick Karsdorp.

Sky Sport reports that Roma and the Dutchman’s representatives have agreed to terms on a new four and a half year contract. Karsdorp’s current deal is set to expire in 2022 but he will, reportedly, sign his new contract next week.

Upon his arrival in January, Pinto made it clear that signing the team’s key pieces to improved, long term extensions was a top priority. Once Karsdorp puts pen to paper, the Giallorossi are expected to then engage in talks with midfielders Gonzalo Villar and Lorenzo Pellegrini.
