RomaPress – Roma forward Eldor Shomurodov is close to securing a transfer away from the club for the remainder of the season.

After initially expressing apprehension, the Uzbekistan international has finally accepted a loan offer from Spezia.

The Ligurian side met with Shomurodov’s representatives late this evening after the attacker requested earlier today the club give him time to ponder their offer.

Shomurodov wanted to to secure a permanent transfer this month despite loan offers from Spezia and Cremonese the only options.

After taking the evening to reflect, the 27 year-old ultimately decided to accept. He’ll join the club on a paid loan deal for the remainder of the season but an option to make the deal permanent will not be included.
