Diego Tavano, the agent of Roma’s Devid Bouah, was interviewed today by calciomercato.it less than 24 hours after the young fullback signing a contract renewal with the Giallorossi.
“We decided to address the contract renewal at the end of the transfer market but things got held up. We reached an agreement immediately following Bouah’s injury, which is something we didn’t expect,” said Tavano.
Bouah suffered his second torn ACL two weeks ago within the last ten months while playing for Alberto De Rossi’s Primavera side against Chievo.
“Roma made a nice gesture with this renewal, but I want to reiterate that they believe in the player and consider him to be very strong. Many important clubs were interested in him but he wanted to continue his relationship with Roma, but there’s a new mentality within Trigoria regarding younger players and handing them important contracts — so we found an agreement with Roma”, he concluded.
