Ag. Dzeko: “Edin never said he wanted to leave Roma”.

The Italian agent of Edin Dzeko, Silvano Martina, was interviewed today by calciomercato.com and discussed the decision of the Bosnian to renew his contract with Roma until 2022. The former Manchester City man was linked with a move to Inter throughout the summer before ultimately deciding to sign a new contract with the Giallorossi. These are his words:

What happened in talks with Inter?
Roma were always requesting €20 million in cash for Edin — no bonuses or counterparts included. The highest offer that Inter made was €15 million. Negotiations went on for too long and in the end, Dzeko decided to stay in Rome by signing a new contract until 2022.

But did the player want to leave?
Edin never said he wanted to leave the Giallorossi.
