Following his incredible brace vs Genoa, Felix Afena-Gyan is the new hot name in Rome. The 18-year-old’s agent, Oliver Arthur, spoke today to La Gazzetta dello Sport to discuss his client’s arrival and development in the Italian capital.
“Based on his characteristics he reminds me of Eto’o. That’s why there is great enthusiasm in Ghana. On the radio, on TV and on social media, people can’t stop talking about it.”
On his arrival at Roma:
“Atalanta and Sassuolo also wanted him, but Morgan De Sanctis (Tiago Pinto’s assistant director) was faster.”
“He loves working at Trigoria which is also why he declined the national team call-up to stay behind and work for the club.”
On whether they will soon ask for a salary raise given his recent performances:
“We don’t care about money right now. What we care about is Felix’s growth and development.”
