The agent of Porto midfielder Hector Herrera, Gabriel Moraes, spoke to A Bola about the future of the Mexican international whose contract expires in June and has been linked to a host of clubs, including Roma and Inter. These are his words:
“Nothing that has been written and said is true. Hector has not interacted with any clubs, neither Inter nor Roma or even Milan. One of the lies written in the last few days concerns my alleged trip to Italy. Well, I haven’t left Porto because my daughter is sick. There was another lie that said Hector could get a Portuguese passport, but last September, the law changed and Hector will only meet all the requirements to apply for a Portuguese passport next July. But, as everyone knows or should know, it is a process that can take several months. Hector will not leave Porto now, he still wants to win with this club and is only thinking of that. We haven’t closed the door to a contract renewal, there have been talks with President Pinto da Costa so anything can happen”.
