Due to the connection with current boss Paulo Fonseca, several Shakhtar Donetsk players have been linked with potential moves to Roma this summer.
One of those names includes midfielder Viktor Kovalenko — who has also been linked with The Giallorossi as well as Turkish outfit Besiktas.
Today, Vadim Shabliy, the agent of the 24 year-old, spoke to the Ukrainian outlet sport.ua about the future of his client.
“Roma? Essentially anything is possible. However, we are not currently in negotiations”, he revealed.
“The agreement with Shakhtar runs until 2021”.
Kovalenko has made 21 total appearances this season for Shakhtar and has been heavily tipped to depart the club this summer so that he isn’t lost on a free transfer.
