Ag. Mario Rui: “He would’ve been a starter.”

Mario Giuffredi, the agent of former Roma and current Napoli left back Mario Rui, spoke to Tuttomercatoweb and was asked about his client’s departure from Trigoria. Here are his words:

Considering the tactical characteristics of Roma thru Eusebio Di Francesco, did the Mister ever consider keeping hold of Rui?
When Di Francesco arrived, he talked with me and wanted to keep Mario Rui at all costs. He would have been a starter and Roma would not have bought Kolarov while waiting for Emerson Palmieri. Mario Rui made a choice, we carried it out and we are happy to have done so. However, Di Francesco wanted at all costs to keep Mario Rui at the club.
