Roma shot-stopper Pau Lopez has quieted the transfer rumors surrounding his name after a string of strong performances in recent weeks.
The Spaniard was linked with an exit from the Italian capital throughout the winter months after it was reported the club was seeking an upgrade at the position.
Even his agent, Alfred Botines, dismissed the notion that his client could depart Roma when the transfer window reopens this summer.
“Pau is very happy at Roma,” he stated to Corriere dello Sport.
“He’s proud to wear the shirt of the Giallorossi. He’s gotten back to his level, but he’s still growing. He’s focused on achieving the team’s and his personal objectives.”
He added, “This starts with tomorrow’s clash against Ajax. He’s completely focused on this match, he wants to help the team reach the semi-final.”
