Davide Lippi, the agent of Roma’s Leonardo Spinazzola, appeared on Radio Kiss Kiss today following Italy’s Euro 2020 triumph yesterday.
Lippi, the son of former Italy boss Marcello Lippi, discussed his client’s performance in the tournament prior to the injury that he suffered against Belgium.
“Leo was the best left back in the entire tournament — both before and after his injury,” he contended. “No one in that position impressed me in any single match.”
“I’ve always believed in his potential, he’s much more mature now and he’s transformed into an international-level footballer that the world is talking about.”
“Of course, he’s suffered from having to deal with the injury, but his smile is contagious. The affection that he’s received from the country has given him a lot of strength.”
Adding, “Now he’ll give everything of himself to recover as soon as possible because a wonderful experience with Mourinho awaits him.”
