Mario Giuffredi, the agent of Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout, appeared today on Radio Kiss Kiss and revealed that things could have ended up differently for his client had Gennaro Gattuso been at Napoli in the summer before he joined the Giallorossi.
“We spoke to Gattuso in the summer. He wanted him at Milan because he thought he was an important player,” he revealed. ”Surely if Gattuso had been there in the summer, Napoli would have acquired him”.
Roma eventually won the race for the signature of the Frenchman over Milan and Napoli as he joined the club on loan with an obligation to buy from Fiorentina.
