Ag. Veretout: “Jordan wanted Roma – after Fonseca’s call, he decided he want to come here”.

Mario Giuffredi, the agent of Jordan Veretout, talked about the passage of his client to Roma today when being interviewed by Il Tempo. These are his words:

“I was the architect of Jordan’s move to Roma. I proposed the player to Petrachi and during our meeting at the end of June, we found an agreement. Fonseca was also there on that day. He’s a great manager and a great person. He spoke with the player on the phone and he (Jordan) quickly decided that he immediately wanted to join Roma. He was convinced of this move very rapidly. But then during the course of the month the agreements changed a couple of times – it wasn’t the fault of Petrachi or Roma…or anyone. It’s the transfer market and everyone has their needs and wants. We found a new agreement with Roma on Tuesday – it wasn’t an issue of commissions, in fact, Jordan and I both sacrificed something relative to what we agreed upon in June. Then Roma and Fiorentina found an agreement and defined the last details yesterday. The lad made some sacrifices but he’s very happy with Roma”.
