Agent of Juve’s Dean Huijsen arrives in Torino, pushing for Roma move

Despite the surprise of today’s news announcing the departure of general manager Tiago Pinto, Roma are determined to sign reinforcements this month.

Limited by UEFA’s sanctions, the Giallorossi will need to be creative in order to finalise any incoming deal. One name they’ve zeroed in on is young Juventus central defender Dean Huijsen.

Just days ago, the 18 year-old was close to completing a loan move to Frosinone for the remainder of the season. However, Roma contacted the Dutchman’s agent, Alex Santisteban, to discuss a potential deal, which subsequently put talks with Eusebio Di Francesco’s side on hold.

According to Sky Sport, Santisteban arrived in Torino this evening to hold discussions with the Bianconeri to reiterate Huijsen’s preference to join the Giallorossi. Juve were initially reluctant to sell to a rival but they’re slowly opening to the possibility.
