The agent of Parma attacker Dennis Man – Giovanni Becali – revealed Roma’s past interest in him.
In an interview with Orange Sport, Becali described how Mourinho had indicated Man as a potential signing for the Giallorossi.
However, Roma’s Financial Fair Play concerns and Parma’s own failure to return to Serie A caused the talks between Man’s entourage and Mourinho to collapse.
“Mourinho knows everything about Romanian football. He could have had a Romanian player at Roma, but unfortunately the club had to respect FFP limitations and could not buy him.”
“Mou thought of Dennis Man, but Parma was in Serie B. If the club had been promoted also thanks to his help, Man would have joined Roma.”
