Agent of Roma target Nahitan Nández admits player could leave in January

Roma made a late attempt to bring in Nahitan Nández from Cagliari earlier in the summer transfer window.

A month later, his agent, Pablo Bentacur, confirms to that Nández could finally get his desired move away from Cagliari this coming January.

“Giulini (Cagliari’s owner) promised me and the player that he’ll do whatever is possible to get him to leave in the January transfer market.”

When asked what teams are following his client, Bentacur replied:

“There are two or three clubs that will come looking for Nández in January.”

He concluded:

“I think Giulini will sell him for less than his current release clause that amounts to €36 million. He spoke yesterday with Nández and assured him that he will lower his demands and let him go in January.”
