RomaPress – Although Spezia haven’t officially staved off relegation, the agent of the team’s top scorer, M’Bala Nzola, was hard at work this week on potentially securing a summer move to a big Italian club for his client.
Didier Pingisi, the striker’s representative, wasted no time in opening talks with intermediaries and representatives of multiple Italian sides, including Roma, Inter, and Fiorentina.
There’s a gentlemen’s agreement in place between Nzola’s entourage, including Pingisi, and Spezia’s senior management that would allow the player to leave this summer should the club receive a satisfactory offer.
The Ligurian’s asking price for Nzola is €15 million plus €5 million in bonuses, but they assured the player they wouldn’t stand in the way if they received a reasonable offer.
The Giallorossi expressed interest in Nzola, who scored a career-best 13 goals this past season, in the past but they’re evaluating all options after it became clear Tammy Abraham would miss the next 6-8 months of action.
