Hellas Verona unveiled their newest transfer addition ahead of this weekend’s league clash against Roma. The Veneto-based side host the Giallorossi on Saturday evening at the Stadio Bentegodi in round two of Serie A.
Late this afternoon, the Veneto-based side announced they acquired midfielder Suat Serdar from Hertha Berlin on loan with an option to make the deal permanent. Sky Sport reports the cost of the purchase option is worth around €5 million total.
The 26 year-old commented on his transfer switch to the German side’s official website.
“I felt happy within the team and in Berlin and have got to know some special people,” explained Serdar.
“Unfortunately, the sporting side of things didn’t go exactly as we had hoped. I wish Hertha and the fans a successful season.”
