Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi provided an update on the team’s long injury list as they prepare for their upcoming ties against Fulham on Saturday and Roma next Thursday for the first leg of their Europa League tie.
The Seagulls have been forced to deal with a string of recent absences, including the loss of winger Kaoru Mitoma for the remainder of the season.
“I hope Tariq [Lamptey] can be available for Saturday. Joel Veltman as well,” De Zerbi told reporters on Thursday after his side’s FA Cup defeat against Wolverhampton.
“For [James] Milner we need another minimum two or three weeks. We’ve lost Mitoma and then for Joao Pedro I think he needs two to three weeks again. I lost [Evan] Ferguson but I hope he can play Saturday. Also, [Danny] Welbeck wasn’t in a condition to start the game.”
Adding, “We’ll have to be ready to fight and play our best.”
