The President of the Italian Referee Association (AIA) spoke out against Jose Mourinho.
AIA President Carlo Pacifici publicly condemned the Roma manager for his comments directed at Serie A official Matteo Mercenaro who will be overseeing this evening’s clash with Sassuolo.
In an interview with ANSA, Pacifici declared himself satisfied with FIGC’s recent investigation into Mourinho’s comments and openly criticised the Portuguese technician.
“His words are unacceptable. Such statements I consider pretentious, gratuitous and unacceptable. If anyone thinks of doing pre-tactics by putting psychological pressure on the referees then they are absolutely out of their mind. These are words that can create violence.”
