The President of the Italian Association for Referees, Gianluca Rocchi, criticised Mourinho’s attitude toward Serie A officials.
In a recent appearance at the Milano Football Week, Rocchi was asked about Mourinho’s comments regarding Serie A official Daniele Chiffi in Monza-Roma.
“I was sorry to hear him complain once more especially because I asked for cooperation from all the coaches not to talk about the referees if possible, which is a cultural step for Italian football.”
“Let’s try to relax and calm ourselves a bit, maybe already on Monday morning we would have spoken differently. I was sorry because I had told them about this and unfortunately the message didn’t go through.”
