Ajax defender Devyne Rensch confirmed in an interview with VoetbalPrimeur that Roma had shown interest in him in the last transfer market session.
“We were negotiating, but some things changed within the club,” Rensch told the news portal.
“In the end, the negotiation did not go through. At a certain point, you put everything together and you see what you want most.”
Despite Roma’s interest, Rensch preferred to stay at Ajax, convinced that he could prove his worth in the club that raised him. “I decided to stay at Ajax to prove that I belong in this place,” the defender added, confirming his confidence in Ajax’s project and in the role he can play in the team.
