Kerim Alajbegovic continues to be interested in Italian football.
The Bosnian talent from Bayer Leverkusen, one of the most followed among Europe’s emerging young talents, has reportedly identified Serie A as the ideal destination to continue his development.
This was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the 2007-born player has given Italy a preferential treatment over other options on the table.
This could rekindle the interest of several Italian clubs interested in his transfer. Among these is Napoli, which has been working continuously on the deal in recent weeks.
Before taking any decisive steps, however, the Neapolitan club will need to consult with Massimiliano Allegri. Meetings with the new coach are planned to determine whether Alajbegovic will be included in next season’s technical plans.
Roma is also closely monitoring the situation. The Giallorossi club is seeking offensive reinforcements, and the young Bosnian’s name has been linked repeatedly to Trigoria in recent weeks.
Alajbegovic was particularly popular with Frederic Massara, but with the change in sporting directorship, the evaluation will now pass to Tony D’Amico.
