Former Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani, currently manager of Fiorentina’s Primavera side, discussed the Giallorossi’s upcoming Conference League final against Feyenoord.
The 37 year-old believes next week’s showdown against the Dutch side presents a massive opportunity for the capital club.
“There’s a ton of enthusiasm in Rome just to reach the final,” he told calciomercato.it.
“This makes it clear they’re doing a great job there. It would be a huge achievement to bring home a trophy—I was still at Roma when the club last won one.”
He added, “But this final is a one-off match, Mourinho’s team has everything needed to win. Bringing home a European trophy would be a source of pride for the supporters.”
“Zeman said it’s a low level tournament? It’s a very important competition.”
