The father of Daniele De Rossi and former Primavera coach, Alberto De Rossi, is in talks to become the club’s new Head of Youth sector.
After Gianluca Gombar’s resignation, the Giallorossi have begun the search for Gombar’s successor.
According to Il Messaggero, newly installed Roma sporting director Simone Ricchio – Florent Ghisolfi’s close collaborator from their days at Nice – will be in charge of making the appointment.
The newspaper claims that Ricchio’s preferred candidate is De Rossi Sr. due to his extensive experience with the capital club’s Primavera.
It will then be up to Alberto De Rossi and Ricchio to make decisions together with regards to the contractual situations of many Primavera players.
