Alessandro Florenzi on Roma exit: “Milan trusted me when no one else would.”

Former Roma fullback Alessandro Florenzi joined Milan on a permanent basis earlier in the summer after concluding his initial loan spell.

The 31-year-old discussed in more detail the decision leading up to his exit from the Italian capital in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Milan put a lot of trust in me when no one else would,” said the Italian international.

“I have to thank Ricky Massara above all, who already knew me, but I hope Paulo took a liking to me as well.”

“Milan had already contacted me while I was going to Valencia in 2020.”
