Former Roma man Alessandro Florenzi discussed the prospect of facing his boyhood club in the upcoming round of Europa League quarterfinals.
Florenzi – who’s been at Milan for the past two years – was recently interviewed by Sky Sport and asked about what it takes to play against the Giallorossi given his own Roman background.
“I’m not here to lie,” said Florenzi. “It would impossible to do so in this case: this is a match that will involve great personal emotions for me.”
“Roma are my former team, it’s also my beloved side, the team of my heart and their coach is a very important person in my life,” he said, alluding to ex-teammate and close friend Daniele De Rossi.
“De Rossi has been very close to me in difficult moments and he’s someone I have rejoiced with for all the great things we accomplished together over the years.”
