Alessandro Florenzi is no longer a Roma player after having signed a permanent contract with Milan.
The Italian right-back dedicated a lengthy Instagram, detailing the feelings related to his emotional exit from the Italian capital.
“Dear Roma, it’s been a wonderful journey!” wrote the 31-year-old.
“I was 11 when I entered Trigoria for the very first time. In twenty years I said goodbye only four times. The first time to grow and get some much needed experience, and in the other cases because sometimes life teaches us to accept situations that go differently from what we have always imagined.”
“I chose to remain silent because this is where the meaning of respect for a team and for a club comes from.”
“I want to thank with all my heart the people who have worked at Trigoria over recent years, together we have made the place feel like home.”
“I leave peaceful and aware of having given my best for the shirt and the fans. I wish you the best, Ale.”
