Roma will iikely try to reinforce the goalkeeper role this summer due to the inconsistent performances from both Pau Lopez and Antonio Mirante throughout the past two seasons.
One of the names that the Giallorossi have been linked to previously, Alessio Cragno, could once again become a candidate when the transfer window reopens. Though, his agent, Graziano Battistini, believes that his client would already be at Roma right now had a former executive stayed at the club.
“If (former Sporting Director) Massara remained at Roma, I believe that Alessio would be at Roma today,” proclaimed Battistini to the website minutidirecupero.it.
“He deserves to play in a big club, the facts prove it. Could Inter be an option? It wouldn’t surprise me if they went for Cragno because I believe he and Donnarumma are the two best in the Serie A. Alessio is proving it every Sunday. However, you’d have to ask Cagliari if they’ve received a concrete offer.”
