Roma have encountered another obstacle in the form of former Primavera captain Alessio Riccardi refusing to lower his wages in order to join Serie C side Latina.

The player had been rumored as very close to leaving the capital club and restarting his career in Serie C. In order to do that, Riccardi was supposed to resolve his contract with Roma.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that despite several meetings between Tiago Pinto and the player’s entourage, Riccardi has been hesitant in resolving his contract and lowering his wages.

The 21-year-old makes around €700,000 and is not convinced of Latina as a concrete destination after rejecting proposals from SPAL in Serie B and Juventus U23.
