Free agent Alexis Sanchez could facilitate Roma’s negotiations for Marcos Leonardo by signing with Santos.

Following his concluded spell at Marseille, the Chilean attacker is now rumored to be interested in a return to South America.

According to calciomercato.com, Sanchez’s entourage are in talks with Santos.

The Brazilian side are in fact seeking a replacement for Marcos Leonardo who has been pushing to join Jose Mourinho’s Roma but whose attempts to depart Santos were met with great opposition on the part of the club’s board.

The arrival of Alexis Sanchez could thus allow Leonardo to complete his highly-anticipated move to Roma.
