Roma goalkeeper Alisson spoke to Globo Esporte today and discussed his future as well as his season.

Is this your best moment in your career?
I think so. This is the best moment of my career. I’m improving, playing in huge matches and facing high level opponents, especially in the Champions League and with the Seleçao. Today I have more experience than when I was called in the national team for the first time, I feel very good and I hope my best moment arrives at the World Cup to help Brazil.

Do you believe that in Rome they valued you a little late?
I never felt undervalued. I just think at some points early on I wasn’t appreciated. However, I had a difficul year and gained experience, while not playing as much as I wanted. Here in Italy, it is said that the first season is used to understand Italian football. And it was so in my case, even though when I arrived I felt ready to play. I worked a lot during the period when I was on the bench. I trained to get myself ready as soon as it was time for me. Thank God, my time arrived. I’m happy in Rome, I’ve managed to play well in matches and help the team try to achieve objectives. I want to continue like this with Roma until the end of the season so I have continuity with Brazil.

Does Roma arriving at the Champions League quarterfinals a surprise?
I won’t say a surprise, but we’re one of the least favored clubs for both this round and to win the final. But we are doing very well, we are very focused. We have a good team, who knows where we want to go and who will fight to achieve their goals.

Would you like to stay in Rome for many years or do you think of a possible switching of clubs?
I do not really like talking about the future. It is logical that I also have my personal goals and my professional dreams, but I am very focused on the present. Italy is a fantastic country, with a very interesting culture. Rome is a beautiful city to live in. The club has a great structure to work in, it guarantees the best for our profession. I feel very good here, I’m happy with the moment I’m living and I try to think about today rather than the future. I am sure that great things will happen in my life, and that God has prepared the best for me. But I try to leave everything in his hands, I am concentrating on what I’m doing in Rome and with the Seleçao.

It is worth mentioning the interest of several big European clubs, the most recent being Real Madrid. How do you feel when you read news like that?
These are things that please me, I can not deny it. These are the satisfactions that are a part of our careers. I am very happy when some club or journalist speaks well of me, it means that I am working well and they are following me, imagine when one of those clubs is Real Madrid. But I am focused on Roma.
