Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo continues his path to recovery from his second torn ACL injury within 2020.
The 21 year-old suffered the injury on 7 September while on national team duty with Italy. Less than a week later, Zaniolo underwent surgery in Austria after he and his family decided to have Professor Fink of the Hochrum Clinic perform the procedure.
More than three months since the operation, the youngster’s recovery is on-schedule despite the conservative approach being taken by the club’s medical staff and the player himself.
Meanwhile, Zaniolo flew to Austria this morning to visit Professor Fink in Innsbruck for a follow-up examination. After he touched back down in Rome a few hours later, the youngster gave an update on his official Instagram account as he stated everything was “all good” following the check-up.
The Giallorossi will continue to be patient with Zaniolo and maintain that they are in no rush whatsoever to hurry him back — even if the attacker is eager to return to ensure that he is ready for next summer’s European championship.
