All or nothing: Di Francesco must beat Porto otherwise he could be sacked

Another loss, but this one was heavier than the others. Eusebio Di Francesco’s men lost the Derby yesterday in embarrassing fashion and were dealt a blow to their Champions League ambitions for next season.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the upcoming second leg against Porto will be decisive for the future of Di Francesco. Should the Giallorossi fail to qualify, it’s likely that Roma would make a managerial change with Paulo Sousa the favorite. The former Fiorentina boss is set to meet with Bordeaux on Wednesday, the same day as Porto-Roma, about potentially taking over the French side. So Roma could be forced to move quickly should Di Francesco be sent away.

It’s all or nothing for Di Francesco: he must win, otherwise he will face the sack.
