Roma owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin are increasingly convinced of Daniele De Rossi as the club’s long-term head coach.
After appointing the inexperienced technician in January on a temporary deal until the end of the season, the Friedkins are said to be already delighted with De Rossi’s work and want to reward him with a new contract in June.
According to Il Tempo, Roma are yet to appoint a new sporting director who will inevitably play an important role in discussions surrounding De Rossi’s future. However, the manager is more and more likely to remain at the club for years to come.
The newspaper suggests that eventual negotiations with De Rossi will not be complicated: De Rossi’s demands are minimal and the Roma legend will be happy to serve his boyhood club without too many demands.
The results from here until the end of the season will certainly have an impact, but the satisfaction and desire to develop a young coach at home by starting a new project with him really excites the Friedkins.
