Almeria won’t exercise option to buy on Ante Ćorić, who will return to Roma

RomaPress – After having spent this season on loan at Spanish second tier side Almeria, Ante Ćorić is set to return to Roma.

The Croatian joined the Spaniards last summer on loan for a fee of €400,000 with an option to buy set at €6 million. However, after having made 16 appearances in all competitions with 3 assists to his name, Almeria have opted against making the move a permanent one.

As confirmed by his father-agent, the youngster will return to the Giallorossi following his loan spell abroad but his stay is expected to be brief.

“Ante’s future? Right now, he’s concentrated on the pitch. But he still has three years left on his contract with Roma,” he stated.

Ćorić does not feature in the plans of manager Paulo Fonseca and it is nearly a certainty that the club will ask him to find a new destination.
