Spanish striker Alvaro Morata responded to the media’s persistent questions regarding his future this summer.

The Spanish number 9 was recently linked as a top target for Daniele De Rossi’s Roma.

Morata impressed during the Spain-Croatia match at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, scoring the first goal for the Red Furies.

The ex-Juve man has long been in the sights of several Italian teams, including Roma, who would like to strengthen their offensive department with the player who is said to be a favorite of De Rossi’s.

Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, the player hinted at a possible return to Italy with a joke: “Am I going back to Italy? Sure, on holiday.”

This comment further fueled hopes for his return, suggesting that a possible Italian destination could be on the table.
