Spanish attacker Alvaro Morata addressed recent speculations regarding a potential move to Roma.

In a recent interview with portal Tudn, Morata discussed his current situation at Atletico and the recent rumors linking him with a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Roma.

“I’m working hard and I’m very happy to be in Mexico with my team,” Morata said of his pre-season appearances with Atleti. “I want to improve, but it’s common knowledge that players don’t control the transfer-market.”

“Roma? They’re not an option right now. It’s not something I’m focused on,” he said.

“Mourinho? He is a great coach,” Morata added. “He was the one who gave me the opportunity to play my first professional match. I am very grateful to him and wish him the best.”
