Roma represent a real possibility for Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.

The out-of-favor Atletico Madrid player is once again being linked with the Giallorossi after having been close to the club at this time last year.

With Romelu Lukaku gone back to Chelsea, Roma want to add an important number 9 to their roster.

Daniele De Rossi is said to have specifically asked for Morata whose qualities he appreciates very much.

According to Italian journalist Mimmo Ferretti of Radio Manà Manà Sport, Roma have contacted Morata’s entourage on De Rossi’s request.

From these inquiries emerged the fact that Morata would be willing to take a pay cut in order to move back to Serie A where Roma are his main option.

Together with Federico Chiesa, Morata is deemed a top target for Roma.

Negotiations are expected to be difficult and long but not impossible.
