Amadou Diawara before kick-off against Braga: “We know tonight will be difficult, Braga are strong.”

Set to make his first start in over two months, Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara was confident before kick-off that his side are well prepared for this evening’s Europa League clash against Braga.

The 23 year-old, who will be joined in the midfield by Jordan Veretout, has seen a significant reduction in Paulo Fonseca’s team this season thanks to having dealt with multiple injuries as well as the rise of Gonzalo Villar.

Despite being the betting favorites, though, Diawara maintained that his side are aware of the strength that their Portuguese opponent possesses.

“We’ve prepared well for this match, but we understand that this match is going to be very difficult,” he said to Sky Sport before the start of the match.

“Braga is a strong team and they’re having a very good campaign. However, we prepared well for this game and hopefully we can see a few goals this evening.”
