Roma’s new signing – former Torino attacker Andrea Belotti – opened his account with the Giallorossi in tonight’s 3-0 win over Helsinki in the Europa League. The Italian international put the game to sleep in the final minutes of the second half off an assist from Nicolo Zaniolo.

Belotti sounded ecstatic after the game: “To be able to score in front of the Curva at home is an incredible feeling,” he told DAZN. “To stadium roar, it was magical to hear them chanting my name.”

“I am happy with my goal and my team performance after the defeat in the previous match. This must be one more reason to do better next time out.”

“When you play like we did in the second half, with players like Pellegrini, Zaniolo and Dybala, everything is easier for an attacker, they have very high technical qualities and they lead the team.”

“Today it happened like this, in the first half I was blocked but regardless of who plays and the formation we have to give our best.”

“I am here at the disposal of the coach and my teammates, we have a great coach who makes choices and when he sends us on the pitch we have to show our worth.”

“There are Abraham and Shomurodov, for me they are a reason to do better and better because they are really strong and I have to prove it every day in training and on the pitch.”
