Former Barcelona midfielder Andreas Iniesta – who’s been playing in Japan for the past few years – spoke to Corriere dello Sport about his career. During the interview, the Spanish legend was asked about his favorite players, and with whom he would have liked to share the pitch.
“Since we’re mostly focusing on Italy and Spain, I will reply using examples from these two countries,” said ex-Barça player.
“I think it is only logical for me to not go without mentioning Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Del Piero and Francesco Totti. I faced all of them during my career and admired them greatly,” he added.
“If I decide to also look further back in time it is obvious I will mention the likes of Maradona, Pelé and Cruyff.”
