Roma are very close to completing a deal for Leipzig fullback Angelino.

Over the course of the last few hours, Roma have found an agreement with Angelino – who is currently on loan at Galatasaray – and are now nearing a definitive agreement with Leipzig, reports TuttoMercatoWeb.

The player has been selected by Roma as a suitable back-up option to Leonardo Spinazzola and a necessary addition to Daniele De Rossi’s squad given the new 4-2-3-1 formation Roma recently adopted under the new coach.

The news portal informs that Roma could unlock Leipzig green light on the basis of a loan offer with option to buy for around €5 million.

Torino were also interested in the player but Roma are now in pole position to land his services at least for the remainder of the season.
