Angeliño wants to convince Roma to make his transfer permanent

Andy Mattioli

Roma fullback Angeliño is on a mission to extend his stay in the Italian capital.

The Spanish defender joined the Giallorossi two months ago, in the final days of the January window, and wants to reaffirm his place in the club’s roster.

According to Il Messaggero, Angeliño is determined to make Roma activate the €5 million option included in his loan deal from Leipzig after an unsuccessful spell at Galatasaray.

The newspaper suggests that the Spaniard is counting on Leonardo Spinazzola’s recent injury to result in a drastic increase in minutes for him – Daniele De Rossi is unlikely to utilize Nicola Zalewski or Zeki Celik on that flank, which would make Angeliño an undisputed start for the Giallorossi as Roma prepare for a hectic schedule to finish the season strong.

This will be Angeliño’s chance to prove himself and convince the capital club to bet on him long-term.
