Leggo (Balzani): It will be a market to “fix”, in the truest sense of the word. Indeed, if it’s possible – Monchi would like to implement Phase 2 of the revolution that started in July. The Spanish director is, in fact, already working to sell those who have been disappointing or looking for more space. The objective of the sporting director, who welcomed 13 purchases in the summer, is to change 4-5 names in the dressing room. For sale, there are: Marcano, Karsdorp, Bianda, Coric, and Perotti. The first name could follow the same path as Hector Moreno, who left Roma after only six months and earned the club a plusvalenza in the market. In his place, Di Francesco would like Atalanta’s Gianluca Mancini. Relations between Roma and the Bergamo-based club are excellent, as evidenced by the Bryan Cristante deal, and it’s possible the two sides could find a deal with similar terms: a two year loan with an obligation to buy. Atalanta, however, would like to keep the defender until June.
For the immediate, though, there is always Schalke’s Nastasic and Galatasaray’s Kabak, who’s only 18 years old, and could take the place of Bianda, who is destined to go on loan in Serie B. The priority for Di Francesco is a midfielder – perhaps a regista who can play alongside Nzonzi and give De Rossi a breather. It’s not a secret that Herrera is name Roma like, but there’s also van de Beek of Ajax, who is represented by Mino Raiola. Furthermore, Roma want to find an agreement to eliminate Lorenzo Pellegrini’s €30 million release clause. As for exits in the midfield, Ante Coric, who has struggled to find space, could be loaned to Cagliari or Parma. Then there are Rick Karsdorp and Diego Perotti: the two, who have suffered injuries, have played only 98 and 90 minutes to date this season. The Dutch fullback has failed to integrate himself in Rome, as you can see by the exclusions early in the season by Di Francesco, and he could return to Feyenoord or go to Fenerbahce. Perotti, who was put on the transfer market in the summer and refused several offers, appears on his way out. In the place of Karsdorp, Monchi likes United’s Darmian while he also likes Lyon’s Cornet, Benfica’s Salvio, or Borussia Moenchengladbach’s Hazard to replace Perotti.
