Ante Ćorić nearing move to Zürich

Andy Mattioli

While Mourinho and his players will soon depart to Portugal for the second half of preseason, where they will play a series of friendlies against Sevilla, Porto and Betis, Tiago Pinto is hard at work to try and off-load names that don’t fit the club’s plans.

Among these names is Ante Ćorić. Brought in by former sporting director Ramon Monchi in the summer of 2018, the young Croatian never worked his way into Roma’s first team. After three loan spells in the last three seasons, Ćorić is looking for a new adventure.

According to, La Gazzetta dello Sport Ćorić is very close to joining Swiss side FC Zürich. Although it was rumoured in recent weeks that the Croatian player and Roma would agree to a contract resolution, it remains yet to be seen whether the club will try and monetise with an eventual sale.

One thing is certain, with his contract set to expire in 2023, Ćorić does not fit Roma’s plans going forward.
