Former Roma attacker Antonio Cassano sounded very skeptical about Roma’s chances to qualify for next year’s Champions League edition.
The 40-year-old expressed his concerns in a video he published on Instagram where he previewed the new Serie A campaign.
“Everybody now seems to be talking about Roma and Mourinho possibly winning the Scudetto,” he said.
“But, I always prefer to speak about things after it’s all done and dusted. In my opinion, Roma will struggle to reach top four in the league this year.”
“They got some good players, nothing exceptional. It seems like everybody gets excited if you do the bare minimum in Rome.”
“But, mind you,” he repeated. “They will struggle to reach top four.”
