Former Roma attacker Antonio Cassano did not mince words when talking about Roma in the latest segment of Bobo TV.
The 39-year-old – who played for Roma between 2001 and 2006 – also criticized Zaniolo and his style of play claiming the youngster does not help the team as much as he should.
“Roma play terrible and I don’t want to use alibis related to episodes or anything else. Against Genoa you have to win because you are stronger, that’s the bottom line.”
“Out of all the teams who are in the top part of the table, I think the Giallorossi are the biggest disappointment. After the first few months of good football, the flame went out.”
“I don’t know if it depends on the 6-1 result against Bodo or on the players or something else. Certainly we need to give Mourinho more time, but today the team is suffering, struggling and has no tactical ideas.”
“I don’t think Mourinho has yet managed to deliver the stability the team needs.”
“Zaniolo? When he is in good condition, with that physique he manages to score and play aggressive. But for me he’s not a great player.”
“He seems unfamiliar with the idea of passing the ball. He puts his head down and just races down without looking up.”
